CODE OF CONDUCT

GOLF IS A LADIES’ & GENTLEMAN’S GAME

  • Conduct yourself as such at all times!
  • No profanity/excessive noise that affects others.
  • No throwing or slamming golf clubs or equipment.
  • Do not abuse the golf course or any part of golf facility.

Violation of conduct rules will result in suspensions from future tournaments. If the act in question affects the play of others, player in question will be disqualified under equity.

OTHER GUIDELINES

  • Proper golf attire required and shirts must be tucked in.
  • Hats,if worn, must be worn as designed.
  • The use of alcohol or tobacco is strictly prohibited.
  • Parents and spectators must keep out of the way of play, preferably staying on cart path or in the rough. Please see Rule 8-1 regarding conversation between players and spectators.
  • Players in age groups-Boys 10 and up MUST walk and carry their own clubs. Girls 11 and up MUST walk and carry their own clubs. Pull carts are allowed.

The committee reserves the right to ask a player to leave because of inappropriate attire or behavior on the golf course.

RULE REMINDERS

  1. USGA Rules of Golf (2009-2010) will apply.
  2. SCJGA Code of Conduct policy will be strictly enforced.
  3. Stroke play in seven age groups from assigned tees.
  4. Play the ball down.
  5. Embedded ball-relief “through the green.” See Rule 25-2
